Why tallow?
We use U.S Grass Fed, Grass Finished Whipped Suet Tallow which is rich in fatty acids, vitamins A,D,E, K, B12, and antioxidants. Its fat profile closely mirrors that of human skin, enhancing our ability to absorb its nutrients! Also, tallow’s fatty acids and vitamins promote skin repair, diminishing acne scars and discoloration making it a perfect base ingredient for a daily moisturizer.
What is the SPF?
Our sun tallow is a cosmetic product and not a drug, so we cannot claim an SPF until we go through a long and expensive testing process. We can tell you that our sun tallow is 16.3% zinc by weight, which matches the content by weight of most SPF 30+ products.
I have sensitive skin. Is this for me?
Yes! Our sun tallow is a blend of bioavailable lipids, non‑comedogenic oils, gentle mineral SPF, antioxidants, and anti‑inflammatories delivers balanced hydration, sun protection, and skin‑soothing benefits across oily, dry, combination, sensitive, and mature skin.
Will the zinc leave a white cast?
No, it doesn’t! Our sun tallow uses a special process of non-nano zinc oxide formulated for premium mineral sun care products. If rubbed in thoroughly upon application, it won’t be noticeable.
Will it feel greasy on my skin?
While tallow, jojoba oil, and rosehip oil are all known for their deeply healing and moisturizing properties, your skin will not feel greasy after application. You should however notice sustained moisture throughout the day.
How long will one jar last me?
A pea-sized (or less) amount applied to your face each morning will last you at least 3 months!
